Client
For EAT HAPPY, the largest sushi chain in Germany with over 2000 locations nationwide, we have developed and maintained for over 3 years a highly complex e-commerce platform that manages online orders for the entire network. This representative project demonstrates our expertise in developing scalable enterprise solutions for multi-location operations.
Based on the design provided in Figma, we implemented an advanced WordPress system that allows customers to order online custom-made sushi, mochi and other Asian specialties for pickup from any of the 2000+ partner stores (EDEKA, REWE, HIT, Marktkauf). The main technical challenge was to create a distributed management system that would allow efficient order management nationwide.
Complex technical realization: We developed a sophisticated Branch Manager System that automatically distributes orders to the respective stores and sends real-time notifications for each order. The system manages complex logistics for all 2,000 locations, ensuring that each store receives accurate notifications for orders that need to be prepared locally.

Ongoing maintenance and development: For over 3 years, we have been offering full maintenance services, security updates, performance optimizations and new functionality development. We have implemented real-time monitoring systems, automatic backups and optimizations to handle high traffic volumes and simultaneous orders nationwide.
The platform includes advanced functionalities such as: a reservation system with a minimum of 24 hours in advance, inventory management at the individual store level, integrations with retail partners' POS systems, and a multi-channel notification system that ensures efficient communication between the platform and the 2000+ points of sale.
The client particularly appreciates the platform's stability, the ability to handle high volumes of simultaneous orders and the robust notification system that ensures smooth operations nationwide.

Barrier-Free and Digital Accessibility
Update for the EAT HAPPY project - 2025
In 2025, we implemented for EAT HAPPY all digital accessibility requirements according to the European Web Accessibility Directive (European Accessibility Act - EAA), which entered into force on June 28, 2025. This legislation obliges all companies in the European Union that offer digital services to ensure full accessibility for people with disabilities.
What we implemented for EAT HAPPY:
🔍 Visual accessibility features:
Text verkleinern/vergrößern - Text enlargement/reduction system with scaling up to 200% without loss of functionality
Hoher Kontrast Version - High contrast version for people with visual impairments, with a minimum contrast ratio of 7:1
Graustufen Version - Grayscale version for users with color blindness or other color perception deficiencies
♿ Barrierefreiheit (Full accessibility):
Keyboard navigation - All site elements are accessible by navigating with the TAB key
Screen reader compatibility - Full optimization for screen readers (JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver)
ARIA labels and landmarks - Implementation of WCAG 2.1 AA standards for all interactive elements
Audio descriptions - Audio descriptions for images and visual content
Focus indicators - Visible indicators for elements focused by keyboard
🌍 European legal compliance: The European Accessibility Act (EAA) requires that all e-commerce services with over 2 million euros of annual turnover to comply with digital accessibility standards. For EAT HAPPY, with its 2000+ locations nationwide, compliance was not just an option, but a legal obligation.
⚙️ Complex technical implementation: We developed an Accessibility Manager System that allows users to customize the browsing experience according to their specific needs. The system includes:
Toggles for enabling/disabling accessibility functionalities
Memorizing user preferences via localStorage
Automated testing with specialized tools (axe-core, Pa11y)
100% compliance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA
📊 Impact and results: The implementation of these functionalities increased the accessibility of the platform for over 80 million Europeans with disabilities and ensured full legal compliance in all 27 EU member states where EAT HAPPY partners operate.
The client particularly appreciated our proactive approach in implementing these requirements before the legal deadline and our ability to integrate all accessibility functionalities without compromising the original design or platform performance.
