I have always been a fan of quality things and so even in the online field I have tried to offer as much as possible a pleasant experience to the visitors of my sites.
Despite the latest updates made by Google in recent years, despite the fact that mobile traffic has increased by somewhere around 47% and, once again, despite many other factors in between, at the end of 2015 there are still sites that have extremely small fonts, are poorly structured and, overall, offer 0 quality in terms of browsing experience by removing content from the schema that - although in most cases it is weak - is in vain if it is qualitative if it cannot be read properly.
So I have compiled a short list with some tips to make visitors "fall in love" with your site and return to the site.
Quality content
Although, in my opinion, absolutely all the factors in this article are equal and help to create, overall, a good site, I chose to put content in first place because it is the main reason why a user accesses your site.
Provide quality content and half the work is already done. If you have quality articles and poor design then we could say that your site is "good cheese in a dog's bladder", to use a popular saying although this is not very often in my character.
Large fonts
Nowadays, more and more people have minor vision problems due to prolonged exposure to the light of computer and laptop monitors, phone screens, televisions, tablets and dozens of other bright gadgets that each of us comes into contact with daily.
In any case, even without vision problems, reading a site that has articles with a 9px font is quite uncomfortable. Make sure you have fonts of an appropriate size to make the articles easier to read.
Fast charging
We live in the age of speed and no one has time to wait 10 seconds for a page to load. Use the best host possible and take care of all types of optimization of your site. The harder it is to load, the more you risk that visitors will get bored waiting and leave your site and you certainly don't want that.
Representative images
Images have always been a great way to draw attention to something. Be careful to use as many representative images as possible within each article. This will more easily lead the visitor to the actual topic of the content.
Mobile/tablet version
As I said at the beginning of the article, approximately 47% of internet traffic is generated from mobile devices, so if your site is not mobile-friendly, you risk having half of your traffic.
The more complex the site's field of activity, the more work you need to put into responsive design .
Clean design
Make sure that when a visitor accesses your site, they won't be confronted with 10 ads, 3 of which should be sound, a pop-up, and who knows what else. You don't need 2 sidebars and, in most cases, no slides. Provide easy access to the content.
I believe that on the on-site SEO , things are in perfect condition if the above tips are followed. Continue to provide quality to your visitors and they will reward you. No one returns to a weak site a second time. Make them "remember you" and they will come back.
